On 26 April 2013 received the Swiss Federal Councillor Johann N. Schneider-Ammann, the ESA General Director Jean-Jacques Dordain in Aigle, Switzerland. Both parties emphasized the excellent cooperation between Switzerland, represented by the Swiss Office for Outer Space Affairs (SSO), and ESA. The head of the Federal Department of Economic Affairs, Education and Research (WBF) referred in this context the commitment of his country to continue the partnership in the future. On 20 November 2012, Switzerland was assigned to the Co-Presidency of the ESA Council of Ministers for a period of three years.
